Learn to Run a 5K Class

April 21 - June 2, 2018

Meets Saturday at 8:00am

This is a 7 week training program designed for all age levels.  Whether you are looking to run a 5k for the first time or are looking to improve your 5k performance time, this is the class for you!  The class meets once/week to walk/run as a group in various locations in close proximity to the store and address the weekly subject topic. These topics include and are not limited to nutrition, hydration, stretching, strength training, equipment, form training, and pacing. Every participant will receive a training log to record the weekly training requirements. Any issues, concerns, and guidance will be addressed as a whole on Saturday mornings when the group meets. Graduation will be held at The Big Run 5k at the end of the 7 weeks. Although participation is not required, it is strongly encouraged that you register for the race to accomplish your goal!

Requirements: Participants should be able to walk comfortably most days of the week for at least 30min.
